WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
Christie Davis is a filmmaker, based in Los Angeles, CA.
“Beyond Babylon, a documentary short about the true cost of war was completed in May 2005 with
Christie Davis as writer, director, producer. The film weaves past and present to reveal the true
cost of war as it moves from neighborhood anti-war protests in Hollywood, CA to the white crosses
of Arlington West where a father mourns the death of soldiers in Iraq.
Currently Christie is producing, directing, writing a feature-length documentary, “When The Cheering Stops: Voices of Female Gulf
War Veterans” that explores these women’s experiences during the war and their current struggles with crippling Gulf War illnesses.
Target completion date: spring 2006.
In addition, Christie is developing a feature film, “Breach of Honor ” (Nicholl Fellowships Quarter Finalist, Carl Sautter Semi-Finalist,
The Writer’s Network Semi-Finalist, Sundance Institute Finalist), a war story/thriller about a veteran battling Gulf War illnesses and a
hostile VA while stalked by unseen forces who will do anything to hide the war’s deadly secret. It’s based on a dramatic, narrative
short, “Friendly Fire,” written, directed, and produced by Christie Davis that screened at several film festivals.
Christie also directed, edited and produced the music video “Jesus,” awarded an AFI/Sony “Vision of America” video award.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, Christie attended drama school in London, England and currently co-owns a
video production company, Chris/Den Productions, Los Angeles, CA, which specializes in filming award-winning theatrical
productions throughout southern California, including Julie Harris in “The Belle of Amherst,” and Charles Nelson Reilly’s one-man
show.

Dennis Davis is a multi-talented videographer, editor, musician, composer, songwriter.
He’s at home behind the camera, at the editing console, and as a singer-songwriter,
composer, instrumentalist.
Currently Dennis is finishing principal photography, along with his wife/partner, Christie Davis,
on a feature-length documentary, “When The Cheering Stops: Voices of Female Gulf War
Veterans.” Fourteen years later, the war isn’t over for these female veterans as they battle
crippling Gulf War illnesses and a hostile government in their struggle to keep their families together and help other sick and dying
veterans. Dennis is also editor, composer and sound designer for the project. Release date: winter 2006.
As a rock n' roll transplant from Akron, Ohio, Dennis has never lost his love for music and performing. Here in LA, he’s worked as an
instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, producer with various local groups, including The Towels, Mortal Outrage. A bass player
extraordinaire, he also plays keyboards and guitar. Recently, he’s been writing and performing acoustic songs that reflect the turmoil
of war and yearning for peace. His most recent song "Regret To Inform You" has been selected by the Academy Award winning
documentarian Barbara Trent (Panama Deception) to be part of the soundtrack of her new documentary "Soldiers Speak Out". He’s
played his emotional “Ode To Peace” at various events featuring speakers such as Tom Hayden and Ed Begley Jr. He also joins
other musicians who can be found every Friday night “Playing In Traffic,” a weekly Friday night peace vigil on Ventura Blvd.,
sponsored by Neighbors For Peace and Justice, San Fernando Valley.
In addition, Dennis is co-owner of Chris/Den Productions, a video production company with a wide variety of clients. He’s trained his
cameras on Julie Harris in the “Belle of Amherst,” at the Laguna Playhouse, Charles Nelson Reilly’s one-man show and various
award-winning theatrical productions throughout southern California. In addition, Dennis also produces the videos for the
Continuing Legal Education Program at the Los Angeles County Bar Association, this country’s largest lawyer’s association.
